In February 2015 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures, which included the work La Course by Bernard Édouard Swebach. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 822.00 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Édouard Swebach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pendants: Aufbruch zur Jagd – Die Rast in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 15,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2015 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Course von Bernard Édouard Swebach zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 822,00 und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Édouard Swebach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pendants: Aufbruch zur Jagd – Die Rast im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.000,00.
