Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bernard Adams could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Portrait of a yound girl, three-quarter length, in a white dress, holding a red cup changed hands for GBP 60.00 (€ 90.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The blue dress in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,858.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Adams konnte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a yound girl, three-quarter length, in a white dress, holding a red cup für GBP 60,00 (€ 90,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The blue dress im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.858,65).
