Auction result fails to reach estimate
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Four compositions, 1985 by Bent Holstein for DKK 1,000.00 (€ 134.31). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 2,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Bent Holstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Morning Keg”, 1998 in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 1,500.00 (€ 1,310.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Four compositions, 1985 von Bent Holstein für DKK 1.000,00 (€ 134,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bent Holstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Morning Keg”, 1998 im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 1.500,00 (€ 1.310,96).
