Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle grazing by a river by Benjamin Williams Leader was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 768.00 (€ 896.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Williams Leader achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kempsey Church on the River Severn in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 135,750.00 (€ 215,180.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cattle grazing by a river von Benjamin Williams Leader kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 768,00 (€ 896,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Williams Leader erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kempsey Church on the River Severn im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 135.750,00 (€ 215.180,46).
