Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A hazy morning on the Welsh Hills by Benjamin Williams Leader was sold in the British Country Life auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,122.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Williams Leader achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kempsey Church on the River Severn in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 135,750.00 (€ 215,180.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A hazy morning on the Welsh Hills von Benjamin Williams Leader wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion British Country Life bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.122,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Williams Leader erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kempsey Church on the River Severn im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 135.750,00 (€ 215.180,46).
