A top price for Benjamin Benno - as previously expected
The work Mandolin with Broken Strings and Fruit by Benjamin Benno was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction at Christies in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,749.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Mandolin with Broken Strings and Fruit is the most expensive artwork by Benjamin Benno that we have observed at auctions so far.
