Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of the Hon. Harie Maule, bust-length, in a brown cloak and white stock, feigned oval by Benjamin Ferrers was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,157.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Ferrers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Plant, Probably A Gomphrena, In A Nevers-Style Faience Jardiniere in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 97,500.00 (€ 113,993.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of the Hon. Harie Maule, bust-length, in a brown cloak and white stock, feigned oval von Benjamin Ferrers kam im Dezember 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.157,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Ferrers erzielen.
