Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Pourquoi L'art? by Ben Vautier for EUR 18,900.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ben Vautier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait De Duchamp in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 105,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pourquoi L'art? von Ben Vautier für EUR 18.900,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ben Vautier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait De Duchamp im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 105.900,00.
