Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Composizione U4 by Ben Ormenese was worth EUR 1,800.00 to a buyer in December 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ben Ormenese; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 33-8-LAM-1967 sold at auction in June 2014 with the realized price of EUR 2,200.00.
