Despite a disappointment, a good price for Ben Hold
In July 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work The Glorious Twelfth by Ben Hold for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,223.39). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, The Glorious Twelfth is the most expensive artwork by Ben Hold that we have observed at auction so far.
