This artwork by Ben Benn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2007. In the Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! auction, the work Fruit and flower sold for EUR 1,440.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Benn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The White Horse, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 3,525.00 (€ 4,153.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ben Benn erzielte im März 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! wurde die Arbeit Fruit and flower für EUR 1.440,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ben Benn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The White Horse beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 3.525,00 (€ 4.153,90) versteigert wurde.
