Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Bedri Baykam was sold in the Contemporary Art/ Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,154.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bedri Baykam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Split Of The Roads, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,677.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bedri Baykam wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art/ Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.154,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bedri Baykam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Split Of The Roads beobachtet, die im April 2010 für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 56.677,12) versteigert wurde.
