A top price for Bartolomeo Neroni - as previously expected
The work Reclining Venus With Two Amorini by Bartolomeo Neroni was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,237.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Reclining Venus With Two Amorini is the most expensive artwork by Bartolomeo Neroni that we have observed at auctions so far.
