Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work The Martyrdom of Saint Blaise by Bartolomeo Cincani, Il Montagna. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 185,000.00 (€ 206,431.59), 23% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Bartolomeo Cincani, Il Montagna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A woman standing on a grassy knoll, holding a fruit in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 1,091,250.00 (€ 1,198,119.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Martyrdom of Saint Blaise von Bartolomeo Cincani, Il Montagna zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 185.000,00 (€ 206.431,59) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Cincani, Il Montagna auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A woman standing on a grassy knoll, holding a fruit im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.091.250,00 (€ 1.198.119,95).
