Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work Study of A Young Man, Half-Length, In Profile To The Left by Bartolomeo Cesi. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartolomeo Cesi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family With Saints Elizabeth And Catherine in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,392.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of A Young Man, Half-Length, In Profile To The Left von Bartolomeo Cesi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.756,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Cesi erzielen.
