A top price for Bartholomew Dandridge - as previously expected
The work Group Portrait of three children, traditionally identified as the Craven children, full-length, in a wooded landscape by Bartholomew Dandridge was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 64,330.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Group Portrait of three children, traditionally identified as the Craven children, full-length, in a wooded landscape is the most expensive artwork by Bartholomew Dandridge that we have observed at auctions so far.
