The work A palace interior with an elegant company playing backgammon by Bartholomeus van Bassen was sold in the Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The auction ended at the price of EUR 30,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bartholomeus van Bassen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eine festliche Gesellschaft am Tisch in einem Renaissance-Saal., which sold at auction in September 2007 for CHF 192,000.00 (€ 115,680.71).

Die Arbeit A palace interior with an elegant company playing backgammon von Bartholomeus van Bassen wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 30.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bartholomeus van Bassen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eine festliche Gesellschaft am Tisch in einem Renaissance-Saal. beobachtet, die im September 2007 für CHF 192.000,00 (€ 115.680,71) versteigert wurde.
