Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Maria Pastoir, née Unverdorben, aged 30, three-quarter-length, in a black dress and white headdress with a jewelled belt, a pink in her right hand by Bartholomäus Bruyn the Elder was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 52,875.00 (€ 85,550.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bartholomäus Bruyn the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Coronation Of The Virgin in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 626,500.00 (€ 806,513.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Maria Pastoir, née Unverdorben, aged 30, three-quarter-length, in a black dress and white headdress with a jewelled belt, a pink in her right hand von Bartholomäus Bruyn the Elder kam im April 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 52.875,00 (€ 85.550,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
