Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 3,290.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,800.00 – 3,600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bart Peizel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter op de Oude Schans met de Montelbaanstoren in de achtergrond, which sold at auction in October 2003 for EUR 9,799.00.

Die Arbeit A trompe l'oeuil with books and illustrations von Bart Peizel kam im September 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.290,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.800,00 – 3.600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bart Peizel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter op de Oude Schans met de Montelbaanstoren in de achtergrond beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für EUR 9.799,00 versteigert wurde.
