Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Barry McGee was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 279,400.00 (€ 32,714.88). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barry McGee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2021 for GBP 113,400.00 (€ 130,442.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Barry McGee kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 279.400,00 (€ 32.714,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Barry McGee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2021 für GBP 113.400,00 (€ 130.442,99) versteigert wurde.
