Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elegido – 2001 by Barry McGee was auctioned at Artcurial in December 2020. The price achieved of EUR 234.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barry McGee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 113,400.00 (€ 130,442.99).

Die Arbeit Elegido – 2001 von Barry McGee kam im Dezember 2020 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 234,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barry McGee erzielen.
