Auction result well in line with expectations

In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction Arts of India, which included the work Mirzapour, 1849-1850 by Baron Alexis De Lagrange. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,874.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Baron Alexis De Lagrange have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2001 the work Temple Hindou Moderne à Mondlesir entre Agra & Bombay Hindoustan was auctioned for GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,070.79).
