A top price for Barend Jordens - as previously expected
The work Nude by Barend Jordens was sold in the The Sculpture Sale auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2006. The price achieved of EUR 3,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Nude is the most expensive artwork by Barend Jordens that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Nude von Barend Jordens wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion The Sculpture Sale bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Nude das teuerste Kunstwerk von Barend Jordens, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
