Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bukkinkyo (Possessions And Wealth Are Temporal) by Bankei Yotaku was sold in the Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2006. The price achieved of USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,931.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bankei Yotaku - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zen Text, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,816.79).

Die Arbeit Bukkinkyo (Possessions And Wealth Are Temporal) von Bankei Yotaku wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.931,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
