Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art II, which included the work Chicago - 1999 by Balthasar Burkhard. The price achieved of EUR 14,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Balthasar Burkhard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Montagnes (Diptyque, Tirage Positif Et Tirage Négatif), which sold at auction in May 2009 for EUR 31,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chicago - 1999 von Balthasar Burkhard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 14.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Balthasar Burkhard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Montagnes (Diptyque, Tirage Positif Et Tirage Négatif) beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für EUR 31.950,00 versteigert wurde.
