Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Baker Overstreet could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art auction, the work 12 X 12 Inches Of Scrambled Channels changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,603.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Baker Overstreet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dirty Piller's Beauty Bumps, which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,279.16).
