Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work The Costume of Painter: Phantom of Museum Ja, J.E.Millais by Bae Joon-Sung. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 27,267.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Bae Joon-Sung have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2013 the work The Costume Of Painter: Doodling On The Wall, Romeo & Juliet Couple was auctioned for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 41,479.86).

Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Costume of Painter: Phantom of Museum Ja, J.E.Millais von Bae Joon-Sung zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 27.267,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Bae Joon-Sung konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2013 die Arbeit The Costume Of Painter: Doodling On The Wall, Romeo & Juliet Couple für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 41.479,86) versteigert.
