Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work Design For A Festival Costume, With A Subsidiary Study, Upper Right, Of A Head In Profile To The Left by Baccio del Bianco. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,579.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Baccio del Bianco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Caricature of the artist returning from the wars to be greeted by the painter Francesco Furini (1604-1645) in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,152.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Design For A Festival Costume, With A Subsidiary Study, Upper Right, Of A Head In Profile To The Left von Baccio del Bianco zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.579,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baccio del Bianco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Caricature of the artist returning from the wars to be greeted by the painter Francesco Furini (1604-1645) im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.152,35).
