A top price for Ba Khine - as previously expected
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections, which included the work Inle Lake by Ba Khine. The price achieved of HKD 22,500.00 (€ 2,539.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 18,000.00 – 28,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Inle Lake is the most expensive artwork by Ba Khine that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Inle Lake von Ba Khine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.500,00 (€ 2.539,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 18.000,00 – 28.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Inle Lake das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ba Khine, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
