Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Halves of a Whole; Standing Apart by Ayesha Durrani. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,810.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ayesha Durrani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hanging On; What Lies Beneath, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,690.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Halves of a Whole; Standing Apart von Ayesha Durrani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.810,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ayesha Durrani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hanging On; What Lies Beneath beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.690,23) versteigert wurde.
