Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Le Début De La Rue Allenby, Près De La Plage, Autour De 1920 by Avraham Soskin was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in May 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 750.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 300.00. Admittedly, works by Avraham Soskin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travailleurs Aplatissant Les Dunes À L'Aide De Brouettes, 1909 in May 2009 with an auction result of EUR 1,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Le Début De La Rue Allenby, Près De La Plage, Autour De 1920 von Avraham Soskin im Mai 2009 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 750,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 300,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Avraham Soskin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travailleurs Aplatissant Les Dunes À L'Aide De Brouettes, 1909 im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.500,00.
