Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 456.00 (€ 678.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Averil Burleigh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Bridges in Spain, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,676.71).
