A top price for Aurelio Lomi - as previously expected
The work Studies of a youth pulling ropes or poles (recto); A faint study of the same (verso) by Aurelio Lomi was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,007.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Studies of a youth pulling ropes or poles (recto); A faint study of the same (verso) is the most expensive artwork by Aurelio Lomi that we have observed at auctions so far.
