Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Processional by Augustus Vincent Tack was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,471.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustus Vincent Tack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Landscape In Purple, Blue And Red in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Processional von Augustus Vincent Tack im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.471,24) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustus Vincent Tack erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Landscape In Purple, Blue And Red im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72).
