Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pyramids of Egypt; and Ruins near Luxor by Augustus Osborne Lamplough was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,893.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustus Osborne Lamplough - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Arab On A Camel Surveying The Desert At Dusk, which sold at auction in January 2015 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,477.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pyramids of Egypt; and Ruins near Luxor von Augustus Osborne Lamplough wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.893,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Augustus Osborne Lamplough mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Arab On A Camel Surveying The Desert At Dusk beobachtet, die im Januar 2015 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.477,30) versteigert wurde.
