Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A day out by Augustus Knip was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The price achieved of EUR 4,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustus Knip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three King Charles Spaniels, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,650.89).

Die Arbeit A day out von Augustus Knip kam im September 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Augustus Knip mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three King Charles Spaniels beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.650,89) versteigert wurde.
