The auction ended at the price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,169.63), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustus Edwin Mulready - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Spys, which sold at auction in October 2002 for USD 22,705.00 (€ 22,978.44).
