Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2003 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work The fisherman's daughter by Augustus Edwin Mulready. The price achieved of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 4,142.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Augustus Edwin Mulready have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Little Spys in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 22,705.00 (€ 22,978.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The fisherman's daughter von Augustus Edwin Mulready zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.112,50 (€ 4.142,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Augustus Edwin Mulready auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Little Spys im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.705,00 (€ 22.978,44).
