The work Arabesque (Kermisse à Volendam) by Augustin Hanicotte was sold in the Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2007. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 780.00 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Hanicotte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femmes Sous Le Pommier in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,169.16).

Die Arbeit Arabesque (Kermisse à Volendam) von Augustin Hanicotte wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 780,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustin Hanicotte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femmes Sous Le Pommier im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.169,16).
