It achieved a price of USD 19,840.00 (€ 18,188.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Auguste Rodin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Éternel Printemps in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 20,410,000.00 (€ 18,329,591.38).

Die Arbeit Main droite dite n°08, variante von Auguste Rodin wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 19.840,00 (€ 18.188,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Auguste Rodin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Éternel Printemps im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.410.000,00 (€ 18.329.591,38).
