A top price for Auguste de Chatillon - as previously expected
The work Jeune Basque Assis by Auguste de Chatillon was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings & Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures auction at Artcurial in Paris in October 2012. The price achieved of EUR 1,768.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Jeune Basque Assis is the most expensive artwork by Auguste de Chatillon that we have observed at auctions so far.
