In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work French A Young Girl With A Cross sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,454.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Auguste Charpentier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The money lender in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,127.05).
