(22.8 x 16.5 cm.) mount: 18 1/2 x 14 1/4 in. (46.9 x 36.1 cm.)
Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Der Maler Anton Räderscheidt, Köln, 1927 by August Sander for USD 63,000.00 (€ 59,613.93). This price was achieved in the auction A Century of Art: Photographs from The Gerald Fineberg Collection at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Sander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porträts aus „Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts“. in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 949,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Der Maler Anton Räderscheidt, Köln, 1927 von August Sander für USD 63.000,00 (€ 59.613,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Century of Art: Photographs from The Gerald Fineberg Collection bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Sander erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porträts aus „Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts“. im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 949.000,00.
