Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A bottle of Chateau Margaux, a goblet, fruit, bread, cheese and spectacles on a table by August Müller. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 1,150.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by August Müller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Das Mutter-Kind-Spiel in December 2004 with an auction result of EUR 8,775.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A bottle of Chateau Margaux, a goblet, fruit, bread, cheese and spectacles on a table von August Müller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 1.150,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von August Müller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Das Mutter-Kind-Spiel im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.775,00.
