Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Oriental market at Ghardaïa by August Le Gras. The price achieved of EUR 2,390.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by August Le Gras have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work Camels Before A North-African Dessert Village was auctioned for NLG 8,812.50 (€ 4,235.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oriental market at Ghardaïa von August Le Gras zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.390,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von August Le Gras konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2001 die Arbeit Camels Before A North-African Dessert Village für NLG 8.812,50 (€ 4.235,70) versteigert.
