In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction From the Collection of King George I of the Hellenes, which included the work Portrait of Princess Louise-Charlotte von Hesse-Cassel (1789-1864), bust-length, in a black dress with white lace trim by Auguste Heinrich Georg Schiött. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,357.89). Other works by Auguste Heinrich Georg Schiött have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,436.07) in October 2007 for the work Portrait of F. Wichfeld (1800-1888), quarter-length, in a black suit with white shirt and a medal; and Portrait of V. Wichfeld (1822-1908), quarter-length, in a black dress with lace trim, a bow in her hair.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion From the Collection of King George I of the Hellenes durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Louise-Charlotte von Hesse-Cassel (1789-1864), bust-length, in a black dress with white lace trim von Auguste Heinrich Georg Schiött zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.357,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Auguste Heinrich Georg Schiött haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.436,07) im Oktober 2007 für die Arbeit Portrait of F. Wichfeld (1800-1888), quarter-length, in a black suit with white shirt and a medal; and Portrait of V. Wichfeld (1822-1908), quarter-length, in a black dress with lace trim, a bow in her hair beobachtet.
