Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work View of a river in a German town, with a woman and child washing clothes by August Fischer was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,100.00 (€ 281.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Fischer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Fra Mentona” in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 15,000.00 (€ 13,109.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit View of a river in a German town, with a woman and child washing clothes von August Fischer im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.100,00 (€ 281,66) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Fischer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Fra Mentona” im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 15.000,00 (€ 13.109,60).
