Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Auger Lucas could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings auction, the work Diana Resting After Her Bath changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,572.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Auger Lucas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allégories Des Saisons in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 37,940.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Auger Lucas konnte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Diana Resting After Her Bath für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.572,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auger Lucas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Allégories Des Saisons im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.940,00.
