In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951, which included the work Artist With A Seagull by Audrey Cruddas. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,633.30), 73% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Audrey Cruddas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Artist with a Seagull sold at auction in September last year with the realized price of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,255.37).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Artist With A Seagull von Audrey Cruddas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.633,30) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Audrey Cruddas; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Artist with a Seagull im September letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.255,37).
