Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beach Crowd by Ato Delaquis was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,736.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ato Delaquis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fort San Sebastiab, Shama, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,572.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beach Crowd von Ato Delaquis wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.736,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ato Delaquis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fort San Sebastiab, Shama beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.572,11) versteigert wurde.
